Dr. Vickie Dills grew up in Asheville, NC. She recently returned to the Asheville area after practicing Physical Therapy in Boston, MA.
​
After graduating from Enka High School, she joined the Navy where she served as a Hospital Corpsman in San Diego, CA, Italy, Japan, and Charleston, SC.
​
After her tour in the U.S. Navy, she worked at Memorial Mission Hospital for the anesthesia department here in Asheville.
​
In order to pursue a career in physical therapy, she moved to Boston, MA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and later completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Simmons College.
​
Vickie embraces the concept of evidence-based rehabilitation. When treating patients, she draws upon current research to incorporate scientifically validated methods into her daily practice. She co-authored an article titled "Return to Play Following Sports Hernia Surgery", which was published in "Clinics in Sports Medicine". She also co-authored a chapter in the publication "Shoulder Instability in the Athlete; Management and Surgical Techniques for Optimized Return to Play."

Vickie currently consults with O2X as a Human Performance Specialist, regularly commuting to New England to work with firefighters, police, and active-duty military with a focus on injury prevention.
​
Outside of her interest in sports medicine, she is a licensed private pilot and a certified SCUBA diver. She enjoys tennis, but is likely the worst tennis player in the entire area.
